My name is Doug McAllister. I interpreted for Parks Canada in Banff for twenty years. I am retired from the uniform. I still live here. I still watch the cloud deck on Sulphur Mountain before I decide whether a visitor should spend a slot or walk the lakes.

This site exists because people keep asking the same practical questions: timed entry, parking, layers, whether the stairs are a joke. They are not a joke. I write the answers once so I do not have to shout them over a bus engine.

Banff Summit Tickets is an independent planning guide, not affiliated with any lift or attraction operator. We do not sell tickets and never process payments. I do not take a cut of tickets. I do not run a desk. If you need a reservation, you deal with the operator. If you need a plan, you can read this.

What this is

A planning guide. Photographs from Wikimedia Commons, credited on the page. Field notes from a person who has stood on that boardwalk in January with a group that dressed for a mall.

What this is not

Not the official site. Not a shop. Not a place to argue about a missed window. Email is for the site, not for the lift.
